As you already know the baseball season has begun and gamblers from all over the globe are attempting to grab their share of this billion dollar industry. A lot of gamblers would find it interesting to note that while football and basketball bring in a lot more spectators baseball is still the number 1 sport for gamblers worldiwde. Take my recent trip to the UK; a huge number of the people there knew more about baseball than I did with me being a pro gambler and a life long Cardinals fan!

Let us take a look at why baseball is so popular among sports bettors across the globe

Games Every Day – Pretty much every day of the season there is at least a couple of encounters being played. This means that if you cannot find a match that you fancy a bet on then you only need to wait until the next day before you have another chance. Unline the NFL where you may have to wait a week before you have a chance to bet again.

Statistics – Mining through all the data from baseball is a sports bettors dream. In the click of a mouse you can find out if a teams batting average at a certain ground for the past 10 years if you wanted to.

Pitching – The main man. Instead of other sports where it is more of a team effort with baseball a game really relies on the pitcher to keep the hits at bay so studying how well the pitcher works against the team in question can help you profit.

Lose Over Half of Your Games – This is the main reason why people start betting on baseball with the level of stats being the reason they stick around. Everyone knows that if you are betting on other sports using the point spread (-110) you will need to hit 52.7% of your games in order to turn a profit. However with the baseball which uses the Run Line and the Money Line the odds are always changing.

When backing in baseball you can back an underdog at like +187 on the moneyline and you only need to have a strike rate of little over 30% in order to make a profit. This means of all of your bets you can lose around 70% of your bets and still be in the money

Instead of going through all the hassle of using a sports betting system why not get free sports picks sent straight to your email inbox? To find out more click here

There is one thing that will destroy you if you are not careful. I’ve seen this one thing completely annihilate the bankrolls of new players to online roulette studs. It doesn’t matter if you have been around forever, or if you are just starting out.

The Gambler’s Fallacy is one thing you must be on constant guard against. This fallacy has been making players and gamblers make terrible bets, over and over again. Is has been around for centuries and is not going to go away anytime soon.

To give you a quick idea of what The Gambler’s Fallacy is imagine that the ball of a roulette wheel has landed on odds several times in a row. Somebody suffering from The Gambler’s Fallacy would then begin betting on evens thinking that the ball is now more likely to land on evens because it has landed on odd so many times already.

The table does not have a memory, and it doesn’t matter what the past spins resulted in. Many people try to use past spins as an indicator for future spins when in reality this does nothing at all. Past spins have no bearing on what future outcomes will be.

The reason The Gambler’s Fallacy is able to claim so many victims is that unless one really does some research on the odds The Gambler’s Fallacy makes perfect sense. It takes some further examination in order to discover that The Gambler’s Fallacy is just that.

To demonstrate what I mean I’ll give you two examples, one example showing why it might look like there is no fallacy. I will then give another example going deeper into the odds to show that The Gambler’s Fallacy exists for a reason.

Imagine that there is no zero at an online roulette table. This would mean that there is a 50% chance of landing on black, now the odds of a ball landing on black twice in a row is smaller than 50%, and the odds of it landing on black three times in a row is even smaller. So on the surface it looks like the more times it lands on black the less likely it is to land on black again. However if you look deeper the odds of the ball landing on black three times and then red one time matches up with the odds of the ball landing on black four times.

There is no reason that The Gambler’s Fallacy should destroy your bankroll. However it will as soon as you let it. If you want to do well at online roulette you must take this threat seriously otherwise it could completely and utterly destroy you.

It doesn’t matter what system you play with, it’s crucial that you play Online Roulette at the best casinos. The best casinos are the ones with the quick pay out times, one of them is Bet365 Casino

If you haven’t read it yet, you must check out the newly released excerpts from the new Tim Donaghy book. This disgraced former NBA referee makes a few over the top, yet exact claims about how NBA officials go out of their way to affect the results of games. Basically, Donaghy admits that the referees are dishonest and would often play around with results on thing as immaterial as who needs to tip the team ball boys.

The most intriguing parts of the book are when Donaghy names names and points out certain referees and how they took pleasure in manipulating games. Tim discusses Dick Bavetta who was a ref in one of the worst officiated ganmes in history: game six of the 2001 western conference finals between LA and Sacramento. And although it’s arguable, he makes the following claim as well:

“The main reason I bet the loser was that I was certain that they woulc cover the spread, even if they played bad. This is where Dick came into the picture.

From when I first got involved with him, I quickly learned that he prefers to keeps game close, and when a team gets down by double digit points, he conveniently helps the players save face. He achieves this by softly yet blowing the whistle regularly on the team that is having the better night. Fouls suddely became on sided and the score began to tighten. This is how Bavetta refs a game, and everyone knew it. ”

If these allegations are true, we can assume that if you bet on the team most likely to lose in the games Bavetta was working, then you should have won some serious cash, sports betting handicapping aside. Of course you couldn’t win every game, but it appears that he made a killing with this wagering theory.

These allegations and stories got me thinking, so I conducted a number of investigations and the results were quite convincing that Donaghy is full of it! If you don’t understand, you have to hit 52.7% of the bets to even earn a profict if you are betting with common ten cent juice this means $110 to get back $100). Mr. Donaghy left from the pressure in 2007, so I looked back over the ten year period before the time we are talking about, and I found a few interesting things.

During the ten year period there were just two seasons that returned a profitable percent when betting on the underdogs in games where Bavetta was working. These two seaons were 1998/1999 when the underdogs came back at 55.7% and 2001/2002 when they made it to 57.1. This isn’t bad, but remember these were the only two seasons that returned at least 52.7%. Actually, if you made bets based on this theory, you would have lost a great deal of money in nearly every other basketball season.

These numbers and research proove that these allegations about Bavetta are false, and make me question the truthfullness of other comments he has makde. This isn’t to say that the NBA didn’t do anything wrong, or that yes, refs do make mistakes from time to time – sports handicapping aside, but we must ask if the rest of Donaghy’s comments are legit.

We have all rued the day when we overstayed our welcome at those losing rounds of poker. In hindsight, it is easy to see that we should have walked away hours earlier. The problem is, if we did that, we would always be tormented by that jackpot that was just around the corner, awaiting a few more hands. But no, we stay and lose right down to that last grim deal. To make matters worse, since we have no idea why we put up with this torture in the first place, we go back and do it again and again.

It is crucial to be able to stay or leave based on a logical analysis of the situation, not an emotional impulse. If logically you have matters to attend to – liking picking up your wife and kids or attending work – you must be able to leave immediately. Sometimes a desperate hope for by now certainly imminent better luck is so strong that you miss dates and business appointments. But, the longer you stay overdue, the worse you play, because you know you are supposed to be elsewhere and that possibly your are ruining your life and career.

Poker is meant to be entertaining. If you are not having fun, that’s as good as reason as any to walk away early before the game becomes a tragedy of poor play and an even poorer frame of mind. A lot of players begin the game of poker for recreational purposes. If the game becomes overwhelming and they cannot leave, but neither can they play a decent game, it ceases to be recreation. They may be staying out of a sort of guilt, doing penance by playing badly and losing. They stay on and on suffering greater losses with every new deal, instead of taking their medicine with maturity, maintaining their good nature and understanding that it is just a game after all.

The first step in understanding this type of behavior is to realize that the problem does not lie in the game of poker itself. It lies in you and your persistence in continuing to play and to lose at an “amusement” that is pointless and unproductive and at which you are not having fun. This is avoidance and self-delusion at its finest, having no connection with poker.

In this case, whatever it is that you are avoiding, it is likely that it manifests itself in other activities as well. Shifting your focus may help to realize the source of the original problem. Rather than stupidly pondering why you have again stayed that fatal extra hour half-playing a doomed game, try to observe yourself in your other activities. You may discover that things which seemed completely unrelated to your poker plight have surprising connections to your inability to leave the game in time.

It may be anything really, from dissatisfaction with your work or career to a general inability to deal with loss. Once you discover the connection, it will be easier to decide how to stop playing poker.

Recently I tried the roulette bandit system due to its increase in popularity. It’s sold free of hype and exaggeration and seen as how I play online roulette all the time I thought I should give it a go.

The first thing that is worth noting about it is that you will not need to place any large bets in order to use the system properly. The staking plans are very small and no matter what happens they never get too large which makes the system very safe.

In my experience I have found that a lot of systems can spiral out of control and you end up having to place big bets. I have found that you will be able to win slowly and consistently with it.

The possibilities of making a profit seem quite low at the outset, but once you start playing you will see what the aim is. Roulette bandit will not make you a millionaire overnight, but expect to make around a $50 profit per hour with it.

When playing online roulette, this is the amount of money you should expect to regularly win. Get rich quick schemes that you see around never work and the odds are against you if you aim at sustaining large wins in the long term.

The system comes with a money back guarantee which is another bonus. This guarantee however may not need to be utilised as the system is completely safe.

It is important to remember though that you will not be able to make lots of money from this system, and it does take some effort to be successful at it. Addicted gamblers will probably not see the benefits from it at all.

Overall the roulette bandit system is worth using providing you are willing to put the time in to use it. So long as you follow the instructions detailed in the eBook you have a very good chance of winning money long term.

There is a lot of speculation around the Internet about the Roulette Bandit along with other roulette systems so you may want to check out another Roulette Bandit Review

Rakeback is a term that many on-line poker players are not familiar with. These are the fees that a person pays for each pot that is played on a poker game. A person playing poker for several hours per day, or playing several tables, can spend a lot of money on the rake of the games they play.

When a player enters a game they usually pay around 5% on the pot in rakeback. The cap for most of the on-line poker sites is three dollars. The fees can rake up fast when a person is playing multiple games. This is where the term “rakeback” originated.

Poker sites have different ways of calculating the rake for each pot. Some figure the rake based on the amount of the pot and number of people at the table. Other website figure the rake on the number of people who are actually playing for the pot and the amount of the pot. In either case the amount of rake paid is normally almost the same.

Once a person knows that there is a way to get part of their rake back they begin to search for rakeback plans that are available. There are many rakeback websites which offer players a return on the rake that they play for each game. These websites work with the on-line poker sites that pay up to 45% of the rake they receive to the rakeback site. A person is paid a percentage of what is received by the rakeback website when they are registered with that site.

Rakeback websites work with different on-line poker sites and they show a list of the participating on-line poker sites. The rakeback site will also show the percentage of rake that a poker site is paying, any promotions or tournaments that are being held on the site, and other money that may be available to players on that site.

Some on-line poker sites offer bonuses to people who play at their tables. The bonuses are provided when a person deposits money to play. Some of these bonuses match the deposit to a maximum. When a player puts more money in than the maximum bonus, the bonus is automatically paid.

There are many incentives offered to registrants on rakeback websites. Many of these sites work with on-line poker sites offering rakeback at their site. An individual can play poker on the on-line poker site and receive rakeback at the site. Then, they receive money from the rakeback website as well.

Rakeback is unique to on-line poker and many players do not know the benefits they get from participating in a rakeback plan. A person receives rakeback when they are registered and play whether they win or not. This can offset losses, wins, and fees paid for a person who plays poker on-line.

The author is a successful limit cash game player. He plays poker online and receives Players Only Rakeback as well as Rakeback at Absolute Poker.

You should be aware of the fact that there are a lot of great people who lost all the money that they have playing poker and there are only a select few who really make huge profits playing poker. You should be very careful in managing your bankroll while you are playing poker and never get into a point where you gamble away your actual living expenses, this is a great tip given to me many years ago, but I will share a few more tips with you below.

Remember that the poker chips and money that you have already contributed to the pot is not your money anymore, and you will not be able to get it back to you simply by playing a less stronger hand then the one the other players at the table have, all the way until the end, to estimate your poker odds you can try using the HoldemRadar poker odds calculator and see where you are.

On each street, make sure you will notice any flush or straight possibilities. Even if you started with the best hand, things can turn wrong against you as new cards are opened, this is a different game from blackjack where the BlackjackRadar blackjack strategy software tell you exactly what is the best move to do.

Have a Good Strategy and Practice A Lot

You must have a comprehensible tactic that gives you an ultimate edge against other players at the poker table, and you need to practice that play again again.

As You Improve You Need to Move Up

Even though it is possible to sometime win big sums of money at lower limits poker tables, the really big money is at the higher limits poker tables, your good strategy will surly make you big money, but remember that you will be normally playing against poker players who really know what they are doing during the game, so move up only when you feel you are ready to do so.

Do not ever try to be smart in Low Limit Online Poker Games

low-limit poker tables hoist many fresh players which are inexperienced and tend to call any buff that you will try to execute on them.

Always Bet Correctly According To Math

Having a bet correctly and sometimes taking risks is a necessary part of winning at poker games, check that you are only betting wisely when the pot odds of coming first are in your favor, never lose focus when you are losing and trying to chase your poker losses.

Take a Break during the game

If you are having a bad time at the tables, or find that you are not enjoying the game, take a break, to win at poker you need to fully focus on your strategy, if not you will probably lose.

Always Try To Learn All Of The Other Players Strategies

Other poker players at the table are watching you and all of your strategy moves and you really need to do the just like them, by understanding their game play, you can increase an additional edge over them and improve your poker winnings from the pot.

Las Vegas has nothing on online gambling. I don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on flights, a hotel room and a rental car when I can just pop open a cold one, open up the Compaq Presario and get to stomping fools in a the Hold ‘Em Room. One interesting thing about online gambling that is much different than Vegas of course is your ability, or lack there of, to size up your competition. Luckily, Stonewashed Casino’s real time video conference feed gambling system allows you to do just that.

This ability to read someone’s actual body language is what sets the Stonewashed Casinos online gambling portal a cut above the rest. When I used to play at more second rate portal’s, I honestly was not making nearly as much money. When I can actually look into someone’s eyes, I can get a lot better idea as to whether or not they are trying to BS me. And reading the BS signals are what Hold ‘Em is all about!

Before Stonewashed Casinos, I was looking anywhere and everywhere for a dependable online gambling portal where I could endeavor into the depths of my vices late into the wee hours of the morning. I was just another miserable married guy with nothing to look forward to every night except diapers full of feces, screaming babies, and a nagging wife. Then I found Stonewashed Casinos, and I honestly feel like I am back in college again.

The video feed makes gambling on Stonewashed Casinos a lot like being back in the Frat House, talking crap with the boys, throwing money around like its nobodies business. There is a fun sense of camaraderie that you get even though you are all trying to take each others money. I guess it is not dissimilar to the same feeling you have when you are trying to kill your buddies in online gaming shoot ‘em ups. Anyways, when I am logged in to the video feed, I almost forget I threw away my sense of self to placate societal norms (ie, got married).

So, maybe by now you are seeing through the real me. I’d obviously prefer to be in Vegas, bagging scandalous women, throwing my money down the drain and engaging in Felonious activity. But alas I am married, so I can’t. Thank the heavens for online gambling and thank Stonewashed Casinos for their amazing online video feed gambling portal.

Check out some of these other online gambling sites or even create your own online gambling site here.

Cards were not introduced into Medieval Europe until the second half of the 14th century. At this time they were referred to as “Saracen Cards,” and were brought to Europe by merchants. Cities were burgeoning with rural folk who had survived the Plague and moved to the urban centers. Here, they became a new group of middle class merchants and craftspeople. With the easing of the poverty and ignorance that marked the middle ages, new trade groups, guilds, and universities began to emerge once again, and science was no longer relegated to sorcerers. There was more time for the pursuit of pleasure, leisure, and play.

In the early days of the Renaissance, books, cards and prints were created by hand. Card games were spread across Italy by a society of art appreciators formed at this time. At the end of the–th century many key cities in Europe including Viterbo near Rome, Paris and Barcelona, were able to obtain illuminated manuscripts of card manuals. Traveling artists and scholars spread these manuscripts across the continent and their popularity flourished. Early in the 15th century, a lone artisan was enough to satisfy the demand of a city. By mid-century, however, there became a need for several shops devoted to their creation.

Because this was a somewhat foreign form of amusement, not everybody embraced it. Some felt it threatened the fabric of society’s mores and morals. They saw it as a game where gamblers and bettors were in cahoots with the devil. During the protestant Reformation cards were rather dramatically referred to as “devil pictures.”

In spite of or because of this, the popularity of cards persisted. Even Mary, Queen of Scots was a major bettor and enjoyed the game, shockingly, even on Sunday. The compleat Gamester was published in the late 17th century in London, relating details of more than a dozen games and their basic strategies. Particular facilities – casini – were established in Venice for aristocrats and courtesans especially for card games. From these Venice casini, a game called primero found its way all over Europe and was transformed into poker some time later.

In time, women as well as men, farmers and merchants as well as courtesans and nobles were able to enter the games and found symbols of themselves represented in the cards. A Swedish deck that became very much the rage, was comprised of these suits in order of ranking: sun, king, queen, knight, dame, valet and maid. Those ribald Florentines played with cards that pictured nude dames and dancers, with the dancers being the low suit.

Interestingly, the number of cards in a deck at the time was not standard, consisting of 30-40 or 52 cards. The designs also varied considerably. The suits most preferred were symbolic of wealth, food, military security as well as popular sports of the court:, coins, cups, sabers and clubs. Some of the symbols familiar to us today were typical of those in France: in red, Coeurs (hearts) stood for the church, and correaux (a rectangular floor tile) was a sign of the merchant class; in black, piques (spear and arrow heads) represented state authority, and trefles (trefoil clover leaf) denoted farmers. Somewhere along the line, a brave artisan exchanged the vice-royals symbol with queens.

Eventually a deck of cards made it to the form that we all recognize and understand today. 52 cards of- different ranks make up 4 different suits. Clubs, Spades, Diamonds and Hearts make up the suits, while Ace, King, Queen, and Jack make up the card ranks rounded out by ten through two.

Among the variations of poker games, no-Limit tournament has far more popular appeal than either cash or limit poker games. Tournament holdem and its variations is the game of choice among 75% of online players. No-limit is the go-to game of all cash games and those who have a great deal of experience with tournament games will find the transition takes little effort.

Tournaments, due the media hype, are where the inexperienced novices go to play and where they are taken advantage of by the more knowing players. Free-roll tournament poker is readily available at every venue day or night making them easy to find for the cautious rookie. They can then make an attempt at a few hands with no ante and even luck into a win or two. This can be a most addictive beginning to poker mania.

Tournaments, especially sit-and-go games, are usually much less stressful than cash games: the player makes a fixed entry deposit and thereafter play for chips, not dollars, which makes for a more relaxed game. Tournaments are widely accessible offline and, being often well covered by the media, offer players the possibility of becoming something of a celebrity.

The frequent and rapid-paced SnG (sit-and-go) tournaments must be distinguished from the less accessible MTT (multi table tournament) games. The most important distinction being that in the MTT, every game has the potential of going on forever and a player cannot depart the table without kissing his entire investment goodbye. Add to that the length of time and the difficulty of the play that must be endured. The players must be absolutely aware of these factors, else he may sink into despair, become too inert to leave, and lack the high-level of concentration necessary for skilled play. Of course, those who can take the heat will wind up with quite a haul.

Also, you can’t expect to walk into a poker club and find an MTT going on. Even in online poker rooms, you may find yourself only able to play very late at night, depending on your country of play. The literature available on tournaments and no-limit games tends to be scarce and dwells on the psychological and subjective aspects of the game rather than any precise techniques and strategies.

In most cases it is easy to make the transition between cash and MTT. No-limit cash games in a sense closely resemble MTT, but lack some of the typical MTT drawbacks. Many think that no-limit cash is the most prospective of all online games. No-limit is likewise by far the most widespread form of cash games, may be found anywhere, anytime, with a multitude of eager players not all of whom know better than to just “try their luck” in winning a big buck. The game is less precisely documented and determined, which offers good chances for talented players good at psychological manipulation. Lacking that particular talent, it is easy to loose much and quickly.

On the other hand, literature on cash games is booming, but even the good stuff is fuzzy on teaching technique and concrete guidelines. It relies rather on gleaning the expertise of the human potential of ones individual opponents. The only way to become a master at no-limit cash games is to practice, practice, practice and become very sensitive to the ways of ones opponents, thus building a vast memory bank to draw upon whenever one becomes involved in future and equally unpredictable games.

Dispersion rears its ugliest head in no-limit games which puts even the best players in serious jeopardy of losing many buy-ins in just one session. In sum, the game is not cheap and not for the weak.
