What we Know About Green Casino Poker Table Felt

by Brian Garvin

Most online reviews that you read are not really reviews at all; they are more like promotional articles geared towards telling you about the positive things about a product with the intention of trying to persuade you to buy them. Reviews should be accurate and informative, but they should tell you everything about a product or service, not just the positive aspects, but any negative aspects too, so that you can make an informed decision. So when I sat down to pen this review on casino poker table felt, I thought that it was an ideal opportunity to write a good accurate and unbiased review.

I ought to tell you that I am a bit of fanatic when it comes to playing cards, and for three months out of the year, me and a bunch of my buddies play cards religiously each and every weekend. It’s just something that we have got into when the baseball season shuts down. The game we like to play is Poker. It’s all very impromptu with little fold-out chairs and tables, just as if we were convening for a family barbecue.

Anyhow, we got to thinking how much more realistic it might feel if we were to have proper poker type tables, so we decided that we would locate some casino poker table felt from somewhere, buy it and spruce up our foldaway tables. Bryan, one of my buddies, said he knew how to fit it with staples, so that was that.

In the meantime, the style was just important. After a long search and a weekend off from our normal card game, it seemed as though I found the perfect match. You will probably want your own color, but we went for the green Casino Poker Table Felt. It basically went well with the sports decorations in our basement. Since we grew up in Oakland, you can only imagine that our team is the Oakland A’s.

What with all pictures we’ve got of some of the baseball greats hanging from the basement walls, we thought that the newly covered green casino poker tables (our specially modified “foldaways”) would look right at home and that together, it would help to make it look and feel like a real poker room. I have to say, that it worked perfectly and it really did make a big difference to our enjoyment.

It didn’t take long for the word to get around that there was a special little private poker school around, and before we knew it, we were getting inundated by requests from strangers who wanted to join in. I have to say that it wasn’t something that we’d ever really thought about, but when we stopped to give the matter some consideration, it didn’t seem like such a bad idea.

Anyway, to cut a long story short we decided to open our doors to see where it might take us. After the first session, we thought that we might have cause to regret our decision. Problem was that we’d allowed drinks into the room and there had been a few accidents resulting in some spillage onto our beautiful new felt table tops. But as it turned out, the casino poker table felt fabric was very good quality material and we were able to clean it up without too much of a problem.

As the weeks wore on, we kept our doors open and before very long, we developed a healthy little following. It’s got to be so popular that we’ve started charging a $20 entrance fee. Well to be fair they do use my gas and electricity and I am not a charity. But we’ve pushed that a little but further now by providing a cash bar and some little snacks too, so it really is more like a proper little club. Who would have thought our little brainwave of getting some casino poker table felt would develop into a nice little business on the side?
