4 Reasons Why You Should Be Betting On Baseball If You Want To Make Any Money!

As you already know the baseball season has begun and gamblers from all over the globe are attempting to grab their share of this billion dollar industry. A lot of gamblers would find it interesting to note that while football and basketball bring in a lot more spectators baseball is still the number 1 sport for gamblers worldiwde. Take my recent trip to the UK; a huge number of the people there knew more about baseball than I did with me being a pro gambler and a life long Cardinals fan!

Let us take a look at why baseball is so popular among sports bettors across the globe

Games Every Day – Pretty much every day of the season there is at least a couple of encounters being played. This means that if you cannot find a match that you fancy a bet on then you only need to wait until the next day before you have another chance. Unline the NFL where you may have to wait a week before you have a chance to bet again.

Statistics – Mining through all the data from baseball is a sports bettors dream. In the click of a mouse you can find out if a teams batting average at a certain ground for the past 10 years if you wanted to.

Pitching – The main man. Instead of other sports where it is more of a team effort with baseball a game really relies on the pitcher to keep the hits at bay so studying how well the pitcher works against the team in question can help you profit.

Lose Over Half of Your Games – This is the main reason why people start betting on baseball with the level of stats being the reason they stick around. Everyone knows that if you are betting on other sports using the point spread (-110) you will need to hit 52.7% of your games in order to turn a profit. However with the baseball which uses the Run Line and the Money Line the odds are always changing.

When backing in baseball you can back an underdog at like +187 on the moneyline and you only need to have a strike rate of little over 30% in order to make a profit. This means of all of your bets you can lose around 70% of your bets and still be in the money

Gamblers Fallacy Does Not Help Roulette Systems

There is one thing that will destroy you if you are not careful. I’ve seen this one thing completely annihilate the bankrolls of new players to online roulette studs. It doesn’t matter if you have been around forever, or if you are just starting out.

The Gambler’s Fallacy is one thing you must be on constant guard against. This fallacy has been making players and gamblers make terrible bets, over and over again. Is has been around for centuries and is not going to go away anytime soon.

To give you a quick idea of what The Gambler’s Fallacy is imagine that the ball of a roulette wheel has landed on odds several times in a row. Somebody suffering from The Gambler’s Fallacy would then begin betting on evens thinking that the ball is now more likely to land on evens because it has landed on odd so many times already.

The table does not have a memory, and it doesn’t matter what the past spins resulted in. Many people try to use past spins as an indicator for future spins when in reality this does nothing at all. Past spins have no bearing on what future outcomes will be.

The reason The Gambler’s Fallacy is able to claim so many victims is that unless one really does some research on the odds The Gambler’s Fallacy makes perfect sense. It takes some further examination in order to discover that The Gambler’s Fallacy is just that.

To demonstrate what I mean I’ll give you two examples, one example showing why it might look like there is no fallacy. I will then give another example going deeper into the odds to show that The Gambler’s Fallacy exists for a reason.

Imagine that there is no zero at an online roulette table. This would mean that there is a 50% chance of landing on black, now the odds of a ball landing on black twice in a row is smaller than 50%, and the odds of it landing on black three times in a row is even smaller. So on the surface it looks like the more times it lands on black the less likely it is to land on black again. However if you look deeper the odds of the ball landing on black three times and then red one time matches up with the odds of the ball landing on black four times.

There is no reason that The Gambler’s Fallacy should destroy your bankroll. However it will as soon as you let it. If you want to do well at online roulette you must take this threat seriously otherwise it could completely and utterly destroy you.

It doesn’t matter what system you play with, it’s crucial that you play Online Roulette at the best casinos. The best casinos are the ones with the quick pay out times, one of them is Bet365 Casino

Sports Handicapping: Calling Out Tim Donaghy’s Accusations Of NBA Wagering By Referees

If you haven’t read it yet, you must check out the newly released excerpts from the new Tim Donaghy book. This disgraced former NBA referee makes a few over the top, yet exact claims about how NBA officials go out of their way to affect the results of games. Basically, Donaghy admits that the referees are dishonest and would often play around with results on thing as immaterial as who needs to tip the team ball boys.

The most intriguing parts of the book are when Donaghy names names and points out certain referees and how they took pleasure in manipulating games. Tim discusses Dick Bavetta who was a ref in one of the worst officiated ganmes in history: game six of the 2001 western conference finals between LA and Sacramento. And although it’s arguable, he makes the following claim as well:

“The main reason I bet the loser was that I was certain that they woulc cover the spread, even if they played bad. This is where Dick came into the picture.

From when I first got involved with him, I quickly learned that he prefers to keeps game close, and when a team gets down by double digit points, he conveniently helps the players save face. He achieves this by softly yet blowing the whistle regularly on the team that is having the better night. Fouls suddely became on sided and the score began to tighten. This is how Bavetta refs a game, and everyone knew it. ”

If these allegations are true, we can assume that if you bet on the team most likely to lose in the games Bavetta was working, then you should have won some serious cash, sports betting handicapping aside. Of course you couldn’t win every game, but it appears that he made a killing with this wagering theory.

These allegations and stories got me thinking, so I conducted a number of investigations and the results were quite convincing that Donaghy is full of it! If you don’t understand, you have to hit 52.7% of the bets to even earn a profict if you are betting with common ten cent juice this means $110 to get back $100). Mr. Donaghy left from the pressure in 2007, so I looked back over the ten year period before the time we are talking about, and I found a few interesting things.

During the ten year period there were just two seasons that returned a profitable percent when betting on the underdogs in games where Bavetta was working. These two seaons were 1998/1999 when the underdogs came back at 55.7% and 2001/2002 when they made it to 57.1. This isn’t bad, but remember these were the only two seasons that returned at least 52.7%. Actually, if you made bets based on this theory, you would have lost a great deal of money in nearly every other basketball season.

These numbers and research proove that these allegations about Bavetta are false, and make me question the truthfullness of other comments he has makde. This isn’t to say that the NBA didn’t do anything wrong, or that yes, refs do make mistakes from time to time – sports handicapping aside, but we must ask if the rest of Donaghy’s comments are legit.

Poker: When To Stop Playing

We have all rued the day when we overstayed our welcome at those losing rounds of poker. In hindsight, it is easy to see that we should have walked away hours earlier. The problem is, if we did that, we would always be tormented by that jackpot that was just around the corner, awaiting a few more hands. But no, we stay and lose right down to that last grim deal. To make matters worse, since we have no idea why we put up with this torture in the first place, we go back and do it again and again.

It is crucial to be able to stay or leave based on a logical analysis of the situation, not an emotional impulse. If logically you have matters to attend to – liking picking up your wife and kids or attending work – you must be able to leave immediately. Sometimes a desperate hope for by now certainly imminent better luck is so strong that you miss dates and business appointments. But, the longer you stay overdue, the worse you play, because you know you are supposed to be elsewhere and that possibly your are ruining your life and career.

Poker is meant to be entertaining. If you are not having fun, that’s as good as reason as any to walk away early before the game becomes a tragedy of poor play and an even poorer frame of mind. A lot of players begin the game of poker for recreational purposes. If the game becomes overwhelming and they cannot leave, but neither can they play a decent game, it ceases to be recreation. They may be staying out of a sort of guilt, doing penance by playing badly and losing. They stay on and on suffering greater losses with every new deal, instead of taking their medicine with maturity, maintaining their good nature and understanding that it is just a game after all.

The first step in understanding this type of behavior is to realize that the problem does not lie in the game of poker itself. It lies in you and your persistence in continuing to play and to lose at an “amusement” that is pointless and unproductive and at which you are not having fun. This is avoidance and self-delusion at its finest, having no connection with poker.

In this case, whatever it is that you are avoiding, it is likely that it manifests itself in other activities as well. Shifting your focus may help to realize the source of the original problem. Rather than stupidly pondering why you have again stayed that fatal extra hour half-playing a doomed game, try to observe yourself in your other activities. You may discover that things which seemed completely unrelated to your poker plight have surprising connections to your inability to leave the game in time.

It may be anything really, from dissatisfaction with your work or career to a general inability to deal with loss. Once you discover the connection, it will be easier to decide how to stop playing poker.

The author is a successful limit cash game player. He plays poker online and receives Doyles Room Rakeback as well as Rakeback at Red Star Poker.

Review Of The Roulette Bandit

Recently I tried the roulette bandit system due to its increase in popularity. It’s sold free of hype and exaggeration and seen as how I play online roulette all the time I thought I should give it a go.

The first thing that is worth noting about it is that you will not need to place any large bets in order to use the system properly. The staking plans are very small and no matter what happens they never get too large which makes the system very safe.

In my experience I have found that a lot of systems can spiral out of control and you end up having to place big bets. I have found that you will be able to win slowly and consistently with it.

The possibilities of making a profit seem quite low at the outset, but once you start playing you will see what the aim is. Roulette bandit will not make you a millionaire overnight, but expect to make around a $50 profit per hour with it.

When playing online roulette, this is the amount of money you should expect to regularly win. Get rich quick schemes that you see around never work and the odds are against you if you aim at sustaining large wins in the long term.

The system comes with a money back guarantee which is another bonus. This guarantee however may not need to be utilised as the system is completely safe.

It is important to remember though that you will not be able to make lots of money from this system, and it does take some effort to be successful at it. Addicted gamblers will probably not see the benefits from it at all.

Overall the roulette bandit system is worth using providing you are willing to put the time in to use it. So long as you follow the instructions detailed in the eBook you have a very good chance of winning money long term.

There is a lot of speculation around the Internet about the Roulette Bandit along with other roulette systems so you may want to check out another Roulette Bandit Review
